Sturdy wooden base. Forklift-ready, crane-compatible, reusable in the cycle.

Base Layer

Separates the sheet metal package from the pallet. Prevents direct material contact.

VCI Film

Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors. Molecular protection against oxidation — long-term.

Edge Protection

Profiles on longitudinal and transverse edges. Measurably reduce transport damage.

Top Layer

Upper closure. Weather and moisture barrier for the entire package.

Strapping

Plastic strapping for quick opening. Steel strapping optionally available.

Process

How it works.

Step 01

Place

Place the sheet metal package on the prepared pallet. Base layer already pre-assembled.

Step 02

Protect

Lay VCI protective film over the entire surface. Corrosion protection active.

Step 03

Secure edges

Position protective profiles on the edges. Mechanical protection established.

Step 04

Cover

Apply top layer. Full protection on top complete.

Step 05

Fix

Apply plastic strapping. Steel strapping also optionally possible.

Step 06

Return

Open, remove, reseal. Pallet returns into the cycle.

The new EU Packaging Regulation is in force. CORROpack cycle is our answer: a return programme that fulfils all three core obligations for industrial packaging in the steel sector through pure materials and documented reuse.

CORROpack cycle

Process in 6 steps

    Agreement Return starts after both parties have signed.
  2. 02
    Collection Material dry, stackable, free from foreign matter.
  3. 03
    Notification Notify when an economic truck load is reached (12–13 loading metres).
  4. 04
    Transport EXW return transport is coordinated.
  5. 05
    Handover Delivery note with quantity and date per shipment.
  6. 06
    Settlement Compensation based on approved incoming quantities.
Important note: Only original CORROpack® material. Wet or contaminated material is excluded from the return programme.

Depends on storage conditions. In dry indoor storage: typically 12–24 months of VCI protection. For outdoor storage or longer periods, we provide individual consultation.
Yes. Designed for multiple opening and closing — without tools, without losing corrosion protection. Partial removal possible at any time.
Premium: all formats, edge protection on 4 sides, maximum load capacity. Eco: 3 standard formats, edge protection on long sides, significantly reduced costs and wood usage.
Plastic strapping by default. CORROpack® can also handle steel strapping.
Plastic strapping can be easily opened with a utility knife.

Yes. The wooden pallets are designed for the return cycle. Multiple use depending on condition.
Premium: standard and custom formats as specified. Eco: 1000×2000, 1250×2500 and 1500×3000 mm.
Do not cut the film. Use the adhesive tabs on the side, open at the corners and reseal to maintain the protective atmosphere.
